Stone Arch Festival of the Arts community,

On behalf of the family of Ira Heilicher, I would like to thank you for an amazing 17-year history of the Stone Arch Festival of the Arts. As many of you know, last summer we lost our visionary leader, our founder and my father, Ira Heilicher. With this great loss our family decided to discontinue the Stone Arch Festival of the Arts. This was not an easy decision, particularly for me. I grew up working the festival with my dad. It was the ultimate father/daughter project. I watched as our festival grew into one of the largest in the Twin Cities. After his passing, we received an incredible outpouring of support and concern from the artists, musicians, neighbors and businesses. Thank you. I know first hand that all of the time, money and energy my father poured into the festival was a true labor of love.

On behalf of my family, we would like to thank our dedicated festival staff, for without them Stone Arch Festival of the Arts could not have become such an amazing event. We also extend deepest gratitude to the talented artists, musicians, our loyal sponsors, volunteers, and the city of Minneapolis for your years of continued commitment to the Festival. You played a major role in creating this valuable event for the community and the revitalization of the riverfront area.

Sincerely, Hannah Heilicher
